2011 Job Fair Cancelled
The Access to Employment Job Fair committee has spent months meeting and looking at various possibilities for hosting the 21st Annual Job Fair. The committee surveyed local businesses and learned that many employers did not have openings at this time, have limited staff available to attend the job fair or felt the cost would be prohibitive. As a small non-profit, the Access to Employment Job Fair committee takes its fiduciary responsibilities seriously and has come to the realization that there are limited funds available to support the cost of a job fair. For these reasons, the Access to Employment Job Fair committee regrets to inform you that we will not be hosting our annual October job fair.
We would like to thank the employers and agencies who have participated in the past and have helped achieve our mission of informing the public about local employers, job opportunities and community resources; and to facilitate access to community resources for both job seekers and employers to achieve a diverse workforce.
